General Membership Meeting
January 4, 2011

Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by Ray Carina, Director. 

Director’s Notes

Ray started the meeting with the welcome and introductions of two new members of the Thunder Mountain Hog.  Ray shared that the Just Kids delivery went well and how great of an experience it was.  He also did a brief introduction of the new officers and passed out cards for suggestions to be given to him.  He’s available at any time if anyone would care to talk to him. 

Ladies of Harley (LOH)

The next meeting is on January 11th, at 6:30 pm at Kathy Shaughnessy’s house.  The Valentine’s Day ride will be planned at the meeting. 

Upcoming Rides and Events      

January 7,  Sierra Vista Harley Davidson
The dealership will host the Hogs and Dogs every first and third Saturday of the month (weather permitting) with the first one being this Saturday.

January 15, Frosty Ride
This ride is going to the Apple Farm in Benson and will meet at the BST Circle K at 10:30, KSU at 11:00. 

January 28,  Ride to Convention Center
There will be a ride to the Bisbee Convention Center and meeting at the SVHD at noon, KSU at 12:30.

January 25, Road Captain/Business Meeting

This meeting will be held at the old Cochise County building.  The road captain meeting will be from 6 to 6:30 pm and the business meeting will start at 6:30 pm. 

February 1, General Membership Meeting
Meeting will start at 7 pm at the Cochise County Building. 

Membership

With the current renewals we have 125 members.   The existing members have a 90 day grace period to renew their memberships and that period ends on March 31st.  Membership numbers are expected to increase with more existing members renewing. 

Editor

Darla Straka reminded the group that an email had went out requesting a bio for the primary officers and not everyone had responded.  She also stressed that all info needs to be to her as soon as possible as she wants to get the newsletter out NLT the end of the week. 

Safety

Howard Becker reminded everyone to stay alert while on their bikes and pay attention.  We want to keep our good record continuing. 

Treasurer

Pat Carina reported there is $4,998 in the bank account right now.

Drawings

Pat Carina thanked SVHD for being such a wonderful sponsor and the support they give to the chapter.  The gift certificates for the drawings were given by the dealership and the following members received gift certificates:

J.R. Riehle                   $50

Howard Becker won the 50/50 drawing and won $44.


Meeting was adjourned at 7:35 pm.
